HOW ACS WORKERS ARE UNTRUTHFUL WITH PARENTS

ACS workers have a single agenda. They are there to attack parents as much as they can. The process will begin with a usually anonymous phone call to report a parent. The ACS worker will then show up and start digging into your family. The worker will never tell you, you have a right to have an attorney present. The law currently does not mandate that ACS workers must give parents a warning that they can hire an attorney if they chose. The worker will then demand all medical and background information on each child. Once they have received the records, they comb through them to find any evidence against the parents. A missed doctor's appointment will be used against the parents. Then the ACS worker will demand that the parents engage in "services". This is usually parenting classes or some form of anger management. This is all done without a court order. The biggest tool in the ACS worker's toolbox is the threat of removing your children, This threat is usually expli

HOW ACS USES CHILD ADVOCACY CENTERS (CAC)

ACS has access to Child Advocacy Centers in every borough. The goal of these centers is to interview the child just one and record the interview for use in court or other proceedings.  A child forensic interview  is a process where a child is given the opportunity to make a statement about what happened in a private, safe, supportive environment. The child is questioned in a legally-sound, developmentally appropriate, and trauma-informed manner by a specially trained child interviewer. Members of the multidisciplinary team that have jurisdiction over the case observe the interview as it is taking place. Interviews are recorded, reducing the number of times children need to be interviewed, therefore reducing trauma to the child. Information gathered in the forensic interview is used to help make decisions about protection, prosecution and treatment. Conducting forensic interviews with child crime victims in a child advocacy center is considered best practice. ACS Worker will demand th

ACS TRIES TO HAVE A CRITIC FIRED FROM HER JOB AND FAILS

The story below is an example of the dysfunction and arrogance that is the hallmark of ACS. Child-welfare advocate Joyce McMillan says ACS pressured a nonprofit to fire her for being outspoken. Feb. 5, 2021.   Hiram Alejandro Durán/THE CITY Pressure from the Administration for Children’s Services led a nonprofit service provider to fire an employee over activism and social media posts that criticized the city agency, THE CITY has learned. Joyce McMillan, long an advocate for parent rights who wants to end what she’s called a racist child welfare system, didn’t stop posting after getting flak from ACS. Among her social media offerings:  a picture of a wine bottle  labeled “F—k ACS.” But a groundswell of support for McMillan helped get her rehired — and now ACS calls the entire episode a “misunderstanding.” Child-welfare advocate Joyce McMillan posted a photo to her Twitter account with the message “f**k ACS.”   JMacForFamilies/Twitter, Edit by THE CITY McMillan works at Sinergia, whic
