THE DANGER OF THE ACS HOME VISITS

The bulk of the street level work that ACS does is the home visit. ACS workers take this opportunity to attack the parents in any ay that they can. Initially the ACS worker will demand that the parents not record them. They will actually give you orders in your own home. Do not allow them to do this. If you have been contacted by ACS, contact our hotline at      917-519-8417 Do not speak to an acs worker without an attorney!! brooklynacslawyer.com queensacslawyer.com bronxacslawyer.com statenislandacslawyer.com sueacs.com

ACS HONORS BLACK HISTORY MONTH AS THEY BREAK UP BLACK FAMILIES

AC is happily celebrating Black History Month as it breaks up black families. The Civil Rights movement is an honored part of the American Experience. We all deserve to be free, respected and valued as members of this land. No Civil Rights leader can condone what ACS has done to black families in this city. HOW ACS WORKS TO HAVE PARENTS LOSE THEIR JOBS

If a parent is accused of child abuse, certain jobs will refuse too hire them. This is especially true of parents in the medical and child care and mental health fields. Thus, while they claim that they are there to protect children, they are putting parents in a position to not obtain employment and not be able to feed their children. This is who ACS is . Our children deserve better. FIGHTACS.COM BROOKLYNACSLAWYER.COM

BRONX ACS WORKER CRYSTAL SOTO ARRESTED FOR DRUGS AND GUNS POSESSION

On Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at 5.59 a.m., an off-duty, New York City employee was arrested and charged in the 45th precinct, which covers Co-op City and City Island in The Bronx. Crystal Soto, 31, a New York City social worker in the Administration for Children’s Services was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of stolen property and criminal possession of a firearm.   Her name does not appear on the ACS website.  Norwood News  has reached out to the Bronx District Attorney’s office, the NYPD and to the City administration for further information as to where Soto was based, whether in a school or elsewhere, and if she underwent psychological evaluation at the time of her arrest. We will update this story upon receipt of any further information.   An ACS spokesperson provided  Norwood News  with the following statement regarding its screening process for employees: “ACS holds o...

MARCH IS CHILD ABUSE AWARENESS MONTH

The commissioner of ACS is proud to announce Child Abuse Awareness month. However, to do the actual work to ensure that the children of NYC are safe, he will not do. Each day ACS holds kids in horrible conditions at hotels and children's center warehouses. Families are torn apart simply to increase ACS funding. We deserve better. FIGHTACS.COM

SHOULD I GET A LAWYER FOR AN ACS CASE?

This is actually a common question asked of ACS workers. Their answer is always, NO! They will advise the parents that they do not need a lawyer because the case is not in court. The ACS worker does this simply to make her job easier. Without the advice of an attorney, the parent is at the mercy of the ACS worker. Thus, the ACS worker will demand that the parent follow or orders or they will take " court action" against the parent. ACS relies on threats and intimidation to force parents to comply. Do not be mislead. As soon as you are aware that ACS is investigating your family, contact an attorney. Protect your rights and your family. BROOKLYNACSLAWYER.COM BROOKLYNACSATTORNEY.COM

HOW TO SUE ACS

Our office receives many calls by parents asking how they can sue ACS. This is a very complicated question. The first thing a parent  must do is to document all of the interactions that they have with an ACS worker. Second, parents must be organized and collect evidence of their innocence. Because ACS is a city agency, what is called a Notice of Claim must be filed with NYC within 90 days of the incident. This is a very complicated process. Additionally, ACS has certain legal protections because they are part of the state. In order to overcome these protections, one must retain a seasoned attorney in order to fight the case in court. The most damaging thing that a parent can do, is speak to the ACS worker. They are trained to attack the parents. Every explanation or evidence that a parent tries to provide will be used against them. It is crucially important to contact an attorney as soon as you are contacted by an ACS worker. This will be the best way to protect your rights. BR...
