ACS WORKERS DEMAND THAT PARENTS TAKE CHILDREN TO THE HOSPITAL AND THEN STICK THE PARENTS WITH THE BILL

ACS workers went into a parents Homs, demand that the parent take the child to the hospital to be " cleared" and then when the bill came. The ACS worker refused to call the parent back. This is what ACS workers do to parents.

NYC COUNCIL ACTS TO HOLD ACS MORE ACCOUNTABLE

Council Votes to Hold ACS More Accountable and Better Help Families Dealing with the Agency October 21, 2021 The Council will also vote to help newsstand operators survive City Hall, NY  – Removing a child from his or her home is a last resort but too often the Administration for Children’s Services relies on emergency removals, which allow the agency to remove a child without going through family court. The Council is voting on a legislative package designed to better report on these emergency removals, better inform parents of their rights and hold the agency more accountable. The first bill requires ACS to provide parents and/or caretakers with written information about their right to request a fair hearing to challenge a report made against them during an ACS child protective investigation. The Council will also vote on a bill that requires ACS to report on the total number of emergency removals of children each quarter, providing information disaggregated by race, com...

CAN I SUE ACS?

This is on elf the most asked questions we receive. You can either file the lawsuit yourself or retain at n attorney to file it on your behalf. When suing an agency like ACS,  you  must be familiar with all of the legal procedures. I would advise most people to retain an attorney. Whether or not an attorney will accept your case is based on the facts of your individual ACS case. ACS workers routinely violate the rights of parents and are never held accountable in most cases. The type of attorney that usually will sue on your behalf is usually a personal injury lawyer who regularly sues the city and police. Stand up for your rights! WHAT HAPPENS IF I DO NOT OPEN MY DOOR TO ACS WORKERS?

ACS workers will make home visits at any hour of the day.  They will knock on your door and demand to be let in. So what happens if you don't? Usually, the ACS workers will return with the police and try to intimidate the parents into letting them into the home. This is a common problem. We advise parents as soon as they hear about ACS seeking access, to contact an attorney as soon as possible. The police may not enter your home without a warrant. THE ACS INVESTIGATION PROCESS

Parents that have dealt with ACS workers tell horrific tales. How does ACS conduct an investigation?First, the ACS worker will appear on your doorstep without an warning or advance notice. Second they usually do not show id or provide business cards to parents because they do not want to be identified. They will then tell the parent that someone called and ACS has concerns. Any anonymous phone call to ACS will start an investigation. The worker will not tell the parent the exact charges but will only state that ACS has concerns. The ACS worker will then try to speak to your children alone. The most important part of the investigation and what ACS workers are fearful of doing, is recording the interviews in any way. In an era where digital recording is cheap and easy, this is a nightmare for the ACS worker. By not recording the interviews, ACS workers will claim that the parent said things that they did not say. Remember, the ACS worker has two goals. First, is the removal of the ch...

WHY THE NYPD HATES ACS

Every day, ACS workers go to the NYPD and demand help in accomplishing their work. Usually this involves going to a parents home and by force, remove the children. This is the very last thing that a New York City Police Officer signed up for. They NYPD is fully aware how dysfunctional ACS is and they would rather not deal with ACS workers. However, they are mandate to by their commanders. NYPD detectives also don't like to work with ACS workers because of the sloppiness and baseless of cases that they bring. ACS workers will also involve the NYPD in lawsuits because of the cases that they chose to take to court.  The rank and file police officers do not want to knock on a parents door and remove a child from their custody. The removal of a child from the home is traumatic and can scar a child for life. This has no bearing on ACS workers. To them, its another child they can throw into the foster care system and obtain tens of thousands of dollars a year for funding. QUEENSACSLAW...

THE POLITICS OF ACS

As we have seen too many times in our city, ACS fails to protect kids. Dozens of children have died under ACS supervision. Why does this happen? Why is no one held accountable? These are all political questions. The first answer is that ACS is controlled by the Mayor. Every NYC mayor has ignored the agency expect when they throw money at it when a child dies. The ACS budget is now $2.9 billion and growing. Second, ACS has not had effective leadership in many decades. Turnover at ACS is alarming. In many cases, the ACS attorney quits right in the middle of the case. Third, ACS workers are not given the proper training and guidance. ACS workers are taught to find something on the parents. So it becomes a situation where ACS workers are trying to force parents into services so the ACS workers can claim that they have helped a family. The fact is that ACS workers do not want o help troubled children who are in real need. Why should they? They are paid the same no matter what children the...

ACS LAWYERS, LAUREN FRIEDMAN, ABBE KALNICK AND MADELYNE MOSTILLER MAKE FUN OF PARENTS IN COURT AND TAKE PICTURES OF THEM. THIS IS A DISGRACE

Lawyers for Child Welfare and Legal Aid Under Scrutiny for Facebook Posts By  NIKITA STEWART AUG. 30, 2017 Continue reading the main story Share This Page Share Tweet Email More Save 2 Photo David Hansell, left, the commissioner of New York City’s Administration for Children’s Services, said he was “appalled” at the social media posts that mocked people in Family Court. Credit Todd Heisler/The New York Times  The Facebook posts were crass and left no doubt the authors did not approve of the attire that some people wore to Family Court in Queens. “Bra tops n butt cheeks! Somebody come look at this!!” the caption read above a photo of a young woman in a pink short set that had pink sheer draping on either side as i f to make a skirt. “From the back! I took it for you!” read the caption of another photo of the same woman that was taken from behind. A grateful commenter responded, “Good work!!!!” The disparaging banter was the kind of back-a...

WHY IT IS SO DIFFICULT TO SUE ACS

We receive many calls a week from parents who want to sue acs. Their anger is understandable. One of the main problems with suing ACS is that they are a state agency. For this reason, they have certain legal protections not afforded a civilian agency. Thus, many lawyers will not take a case against ACS, unless the parents have been found not guilty at trial or the charges have been dismissed. The best option is to contact a personal injury lawyer who regularly sues state agencies and explain your case to them. Do not be surprised if they do not take your case. Winning a lawsuit against ACS is very difficult.Of course the ACS workers know this and use it to their advantage. That is why it is critically important to contact an attorney as soon as you are contacted by an ACS worker. The attorney can fight for your rights and make sure ACS does not violate the law. Do not speak to the ACS worker without an attorney. brooklynacsattorney.com
