HOW THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION WEAPONIZES ACS

The NYC Department of Education is responsible for 1 million children. It is a high bureucratic and dysfunctional agency. Much like ACS. The DOE has learned that they can use ACS to attack parents in order to block parents from criticizing the DOE. This is usually done when a parent inquires about the proper education of their child. The staff will call ACS and accuse the parent of abuse so as to blunt the parent's criticism of the agency. This can be devastating to parents who are only seeking the best education of their child. This practice needs to end and parents should be supported by the DOE not attacked. MANHATTANACSATTORNEY.COM STATENISLANDACSLAWYER.COM BROOKLYNACSLAWYER.COM NYCACSLAWYER.COM

WHY DRUG TESTS ARE SO IMPORTANT TO ACS

ACS workers will demand that parents obtain drug tests at ACS facilities. These are contracted by ACS to give parents drug tests. Why are drug tests so important to ACS? These tests, even marijuana are used to push parents into useless drug programs funded by ACS. The two goals of ACS is to either remove the children if they can or if that is not possible, they want to place parents into useless programs and parenting classes. The reason is simple. FUNDING!. ACS has to justify its budget to the City Council and the Mayor. They must make it appear that they are "helping" New York City's families. In reality, they baselessly attack parents who have done nothing wrong. This is all done to protect their $2.9 billion budget. DO I HAVE TO TAKE AN ACS DRUG TEST?

This is one of the favorite actives of ACS workers. An anonymous call comes in and accuses parents of using drugs. The ACS worker will then barge into the home and demand that both parents take drug tests or they will be "taken to court'. The threat of Court action and removal of the children is a hammer ACS workers are very ready to use. The goal into have the parents be in fear and comply with ACS demands. ACS workers have very limited legal authority under the Family Court Act. The ACS drug test is a weapon that is used against parents, even in cases where marijuana is alleged which is now legal in New York. If an ACS worker has demanded that you take a drug test, call The Law Offices of Michael S. Discioarro, LLC at 917-519-8417 and let us protect your rights. ACS VIOLATES ITS OWN POLICY ABOUT DRUG TESTS

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE November 20, 2020 Contact:  mediainquiry@acs.nyc.gov ACS & DOHMH ISSUE NEW GUIDANCE TO HOSPITALS MAKING CLEAR WHEN POSITIVE TOXICOLOGY TESTS OF CAREGIVERS OR NEWBORNS DO NOT WARRANT A REPORT TO THE STATE CHILD ABUSE HOTLINE Guidance Aims to Reduce Unwarranted Reports of Possible Child Abuse or Neglect, Especially Involving Families of Color The NYC Administration for Children's Services (ACS) and the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) issued new guidance to hospitals citywide making clear the child abuse reporting requirements for newborns prenatally exposed to substances and their caregivers. In New York State, hospital staff, like doctors, are mandated reporters and required to report suspected child abuse and neglect to the Statewide Central Register of Child Abuse and Maltreatment (SCR). However, by law, a positive drug test of a parent and/or a newborn baby is not in itself a basis for a report of abuse or neglect. The new guid...

ACS WORKERS DEMAND DRUG TESTS AND CASAC EVALUATIONS BASED ON ANONYMOUS CALLS

The situation is common in NYC. A neighbor does not like the other neighbor and calls acs to   falsely report that they are using drugs around the children. While falsely reporting a child abuse case is a crime in New York state, it is rarely prosecuted. Now the ACS worker will come to your door and demand that you submit to a drug test and a CASAC assessment. A CASAC assessment is a mental health evaluation. This is all based on  a false call from an anonymous caller. We have personally spoken to ACS supervisors and have been told that " this is how ACS does things". This how ACS treats parents. They accuse and attack them without any evidence. ACS simply wants to check off boxes and increase their funding. ACS WANTS YOU TO GO INTO THEIR OWN PROGRAMS AND DRUG TESTS

ACS worker will always push you to attend their programs or drug tests. Why? because ACS can control the outcomes. If you need a program or drug test, there are many private ones that you can pay for that will give you an honest answer. ACS workers will hide negative drug tests and attack you with positive ones. ACS has contracts with agencies to provide different programs and these agencies rely on ACS funding. Thus, ACS controls them and their outcome. It is vitally important to have an independent honest evaluation of your case and have professionals decide what, if any programs you need. If ACS has targeted your family, call our hotline at 917-519-8417. FIGHTACS.COM STATENISLANDACSLAWYER.COM BROOKLYNACSLAWYER.COM
