WILL ACS TAKE MY CASE TO COURT?

parents often ask if ACS will take them to court. To begin with the tactic of the ACS worker is to always threaten to take the parent to court if they do not "cooperate". You will hear this often from an ACS worker. In our experience here are the types of cases that ACS most often takes a parent to court for. 1. Sex abuse allegations 2. Domestic violence allegations 3. Physical abuse cases 4. Drug abuse cases 5. Alcohol abuse by the parent It is crucially important to remember not to speak to the ACS worker, They do not record the interviews in any way, and this allows them to lie in court with impunity. As soon as you are contacted by an ACS worker, call an attorney and protect your rights. BROOKLYNACSLAWYER.COM FIGHTACS.COM

HOW A PINS WARRANT CAN TRIGGER AN ACS CASE.

A child under the age of 18 who does not attend school, or behaves in a way that is dangerous or out of control, or often disobeys his or her parents, guardians or other authorities, may be found to be a Person In Need of Supervision or " PINS ". All PINS proceedings are heard in Family Court .Once a PINS is filed ACS will interview the child. If the child accuses the parent of doing anything wrong in any way, ACS will bring a case for neglect against the parent. This is obviously problematic since the parent went to the state for help and ACS attacks them. Parents should be aware of this pitfall. If ACS contacts you about your PINS case, do not speak to them. The goal of ACS is to attack the parent. QUEENSACSLAWYER.COM
