This is probably the number one question parents have. We must be mindful that ACS is a highly untrained and unprofessional organization. Once a parent has either refused to open the door or refused ACS access, the ACS worker will call the police. Once the NYPD arrives, the police officers will usually try to convince the parent to open the door to make things "easier" for them. Without a court order, the police will usually not use force to enter the home, however in a recent case the police officer inserted his baton in the door preventing the parents from closing it.
