THE TWO TRUE GOALS OF ACS

As with any bureaucratic organization, ACS has goals. But these are not the goals that they politely post on their website. They have nothing to do with "healthy families" and community based approaches to helping parents. ACS workers attack parents in hopes of obtaining one of two results.

SERVICES, SERVICES,SERVICES- The main goal of ACS workers is to enroll every parent they come into contact with into "services". What are these services? Mainly, they are useless parenting classes that are run by third party organizations that make large amounts of money off of parents. The reason for this is simple. At the end of the fiscal year, ACS files a report with the city, state and federal officials and gloats about how many parents they have helped, then ask for more funding. This ensures that the money keeps flowing to the ACS workers and the supervisors who make well into six figure salaries. The favorite family is the one that has no issues. This is a win win for ACS. They force them into classes, then at the end claim they have "fixed" the family. A family that was never broken.

FOSTER CARE- This is the Superbowl for ACS workers. If an ACS worker can remove your child, more money and power flow their way. Each child in foster care is worth approximately $50,000.00 a year in profit for the foster care industry. There are many players. The foster parent, the agency, the agency lawyers. This is a highly profitable endeavor and the state and federal dollars flow right to all of the players. Each time a judge places a child in foster care, ACS workers are given credit for that and earn promotions. This is perhaps one of the most evil acts any person can do. However, ACS is only interested in its bureaucratic needs. This is a highly dysfunctional agency that must be fought at every turn.

THE DANGER OF THE ACS HOME VISITS

The bulk of the street level work that ACS does is the home visit. ACS workers take this opportunity to attack the parents in any ay that they can. Initially the ACS worker will demand that the parents not record them. They will actually give you orders in your own home. Do not allow them to do this. If you have been contacted by ACS, contact our hotline at      917-519-8417 Do not speak to an acs worker without an attorney!! brooklynacslawyer.com queensacslawyer.com bronxacslawyer.com statenislandacslawyer.com sueacs.com
