THE FOSTER CARE GAME

If an ACS worker believes that your child is in "imminent risk" they can remove them from your home and ask a judge to place them in the Foster Care. We will now examine who benefits financially from a child being placed in the foster care system.

THE FOSTER CARE AGENCY:

ACS has contracts with dozens of foster care agencies. These are the first people that line up and receive payment from ACS to manage the foster parent. The question becomes, what is the ACS worker doing while the agency watches the foster parent? Foster care agencies in NYC make millions of dollars every year taking kids away from their parents.

THE FOSTER PARENT:

Foster parents can be paid about $700.00 a month for each foster child. Other benefits can also be added which can make each child worth thousands of dollars a month. Some foster parents have two or three foster children. You can see how quickly the money adds up. It pays to be a foster parent in NYC.

ACS:

ACS receives local, state and federal money for each child in foster care. In addition, at the years end they can file a report that stating that they have "helped" thousands of children in the community. Each child can mean over a hundred thousand dollars to ACS in terms of funding.

COURT APPOINTED LAWYER:

Once a case is brought to court the judge will appoint the child an attorney. This allows the attorney to bill tens of thousands of dollars to represent the child. If the case goes on for years, the attorney can keep billing.

There are many other people who benefit financially when a child is placed in foster care. The truth is that children in foster care are gold mines for many parties. This system needs to be reformed. Thousands of children are suffering. Go to brooklynacslawyer.com

THE DANGER OF THE ACS HOME VISITS

The bulk of the street level work that ACS does is the home visit. ACS workers take this opportunity to attack the parents in any ay that they can. Initially the ACS worker will demand that the parents not record them. They will actually give you orders in your own home. Do not allow them to do this. If you have been contacted by ACS, contact our hotline at      917-519-8417 Do not speak to an acs worker without an attorney!! brooklynacslawyer.com queensacslawyer.com bronxacslawyer.com statenislandacslawyer.com sueacs.com
