HIGH TURNOVER AT ACS HURTS CHILDREN, HERE ARE THE EMPLOYEES IN THEIR OWN WORDS

"CPS"

I have been working at NYC Administration for Children's Services full-time (More than 3 years)
Pros
Pros are making a difference in clients lives and the opportunity to work overtime for extra income.
The down side is the documentation, hostile clients, sitting in court all day to file a case, the hours, the pay should be more for the amount of work. Also if a child dies the media is quick to turn to ACS rather than the actual murderer and the family who had frequent contact with the child.

"Reverse Discrimination"

Negative Outlook
I worked at NYC Administration for Children's Services full-time (More than 8 years)
Pros
Some decent medical benefits, flex time
Discriminatory acts by fellow staff and human resources department. If you are white and work in this agency your co workers will make your life a living hell and administration will make sure you are never promoted and laid off.
Advice to Management
Don't bring discrimination to work, everyone should be able to make a living.

"Worst business on earth"

Negative Outlook
I worked at NYC Administration for Children's Services full-time (More than 8 years)
Pros
None. Worst thing on earth to do is to hurt children and that's all this business does.
Knowing you're the reason for CONSTANT heartache and broken homes. Knowing that an ACS worker isn't actually out to help the children but to grab a quick paycheck and leave isn't fulfilling. Knowing nothing is actually changing for the better and only getting worse and to no thanks to anyone but you. I wonder how other ACS workers feel knowing that they're the cause for so much unnecessary pain to those families. … Show More
Advice to Management
Hire people with morals.

"Administration"

Pros
This is a job onto the next job
Cons
This place surprisingly still is operating. HR is a joke. They don't vet the staff. You wonder how some of these workers got their jobs. Employment lawyers are crazy.
Advice to Management
Shame on You.

HOW TO FILE A COMPLAINT AGAINST ACS

We are often asked by parents; how do I file a complaint against the abusive ACS worker. The first thing we advise is not to file an complaints with anyone at ACS. ACS supervisors are there to protect their paychecks and their jobs. They will usually stone wall the parent into giving up. The goal of the ACS supervisors is to ensure that the parents follow the demands of ACS. Also, we do not suggest filing a complaint with any local political office. ACS is so dysfunctional that they are immune to any political pressure of any kind. Mayor Deblasio has failed to correct the problems at ACS and the agency is simply on cruise control with no one in control. The most effective way to file a complaint against an ACS worker is to file suit in federal court. This will get the workers attention and take them out of their comfort zone. We urge parents to obtain an attorney as fast as possible and begin the process of a lawsuit. The federal courts are a neutral place for parents to bring ...

ACS Lawyer Announces Lawsuit Against ACS On Behalf of Innocent Mother The Law Offices of Michael S. Discioarro, LLC Announced Today A Lawsuit Filed Against ACS by The Firm On Behalf Of An Innocent Mother. By: LAW OFFICES OF MICHAEL DISCIOARRO BRONX, N.Y.  -  June 8, 2022  -  PRLog  -- "These facts are so outrageous they need to be judged by a jury." Mr. Discioarro said. In  new lawsuit in the case of  X.J v ACS ,  ACS  filed a petition of neglect against and innocent mother, removed her child who had special needs, only to dismiss the case three days after it was filed. "this is an incredible abuse of power, the worst I have seen in a while." Mr. Discioarro said. The mother was completely blindsided by the removal of the child into foster care and fought every step of the way to get the child back. ACS and other child protective agencies receive state and federal funding for each child removed. Thus, the more children they remove, the ...

THE DANGER OF THE ACS HOME VISITS

The bulk of the street level work that ACS does is the home visit. ACS workers take this opportunity to attack the parents in any ay that they can. Initially the ACS worker will demand that the parents not record them. They will actually give you orders in your own home. Do not allow them to do this. If you have been contacted by ACS, contact our hotline at      917-519-8417 Do not speak to an acs worker without an attorney!! brooklynacslawyer.com queensacslawyer.com bronxacslawyer.com statenislandacslawyer.com sueacs.com
