HOW ACS INTIMIDATES JUDGES IN FAMILY COURT

In New York all ACS cases are heard and decided by a judge. There are no juries. Thus, the decisions are left in the hands of a few judges who are overwhelmed by their caseload.  These are the hardest working judges in our system and they face a difficult job. ACS knows this. ACS lawyers and workers have a system of attacking the courts to bend them to their will. The first ruse that they use is to have the ACS worker be the "client" of the ACS lawyer. Despite working for the same organization, ACS uses this strategy to manipulate judges. When the lawyers do not want to address an issues, they routinely say " I will have to speak to my client." this allows them to divide responsibility ad not ne held accountable. ACS workers are not childcare experts, have virtually no training or experience and they often leave the agency within two years.

Another way ACS attacks the courts is to imply that if the judge does not go along with ACS orders that horrible things will happen to the children and the judge will be exposed as incompetent or uncaring. This is a powerful tool. However, the truth is that 32 children have died under ACS supervision and this agency is simply incapable of protecting the children of NYC. THE DANGER OF THE ACS HOME VISITS

The bulk of the street level work that ACS does is the home visit. ACS workers take this opportunity to attack the parents in any ay that they can. Initially the ACS worker will demand that the parents not record them. They will actually give you orders in your own home. Do not allow them to do this.
