WHY YOU SHOULD NOT TALK TO AN ACS WORKER

One of the most basic questions we receive is; do I have to talk to the ACS worker. The answer is a clear no. There are several important reasons why you should not.
- ACS workers are trained to intimidate and attack parents

- ACS workers do not record the conversation in any way. This allows them to claim that the parent made statements that they did not.

- ACS will demand that  parents obey their directives without any judicial authority.

- ACS will constantly move the goal post, never telling the parents what the real story is.

- ACS will tell you that you do not need a lawyer. This is simply a way to obtain your cooperation.

THE DANGER OF THE ACS HOME VISITS

 The bulk of the street level work that ACS does is the home visit. ACS workers take this opportunity to attack the parents in any ay that they can. Initially the ACS worker will demand that the parents not record them. They will actually give you orders in your own home. Do not allow them to do this.
