New York City's Family Court have an office in the building called Mental Health Services. Among other things, these services conduct mental health evaluations for parents accused by ACS. Their is no fee for the parents and ACS easily convinces parents to subject themselves to these evaluations. DO NOT DO IT. parents should obtain their own mental health evaluation done by a licensed private professional not connected to ACS. Parents should never accept any services by ACS. ACS funds these agencies to the tune of millions of dollars a year. Thus, they are beholden to ACS and do not have the parent's interest in mind. If you are facing an ACS case contact our hotline at:
